Firstly, Purify your Intentions.

  • Say “A'udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem” (I seek refuge in Allah from Satan) before reading.
  • The Prophet صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم said: Actions are judged by intentions" (Sahih Bukhari).
  •  Keep it in mind that you are reading Quran to seek Allah's pleasure not just for knowledge.

Second, Perform Wudu.

  • Physical and spiritual cleanliness is the key.
  • The Quran says: None can touch it except the purified (56:79).

Third, Choose a Quiet Time and Place.

  • Early Morning (after Fajar) or late night (Tahajud) is ideal.
